I am the oldest child of five. I don't want children, ever. No, seriously, I don't want children, no matter how good of a mother you might think I'll make.

I’m a lapsed Catholic.

I'm going to college to earn a BS in chemistry and a math minor. I'm also planning on becoming certified in secondary education. Ultimately, I'd like to teach high school chemistry in a high needs district while also having access to a college/university with a strong chemistry program. I want to earn at least a Masters in chemistry within five years of graduating, and ultimately plan on a Ph.D. After the Ph.D. there will be at least one more graduate degree, to be decided. I'm thinking something involving science policy, maybe focusing on how science funding is doled out, or the public's perception of science and the interaction of the scientific community with the general public.

I have a cat named Coco, who I love, but has been driving me insane lately by only allowing me three consecutive hours of sleep.

I am not a dog person.

I guess you could say I’m bisexual. It’s a little bit more fluid than that, and I really don’t waste a lot of time trying to figure it out. Doesn’t really matter anyways, since I don’t do too well with the whole “trying to find someone to be in a decent relationship with” thing.

I'm a hopeless romantic.

I do crafts. Mainly knitting, but cross-stitch, crochet, and macramé are in my repertoire. I’m currently in a bit of a rut, and my only real project at the moment is my cousin’s wedding shawl.

I used to watch too much TV, but now I just can’t be bothered with it. Give me DVDs any day. Lately, I’ve been catching up on series that I never got to watch but always wanted to, such as Roswell, Northern Exposure, and Battlestar Galactica. And of course, there is my fascination with all things Stargate.

I'm a feminist, and quite proud of it.

I’m what’s popularly known as a liberal. I believe in a right to choose, and the right to marry the person you love regardless of sex. I think we should adopt a system of a national flat tax, given that our current system is complete and utter crap, and that we should be spending more money on education and health care than on defense research and development. (I mean really, do we need so freaking many nuclear weapons? Shouldn’t we be investing in nuclear energy, not nuclear weapons?)
